Adding the order button to your theme
Two steps, both from the app's Home page. Each button opens your theme editor in the right place.
1. Turn on the app embed
- In Codform, go to Home and click Open App embeds.
- In the theme editor, check that COD order form is switched on.
- Click Save.
The embed loads the order form on your store. Without it, the button can't open the form.
2. Add the order button to your product page
- In Codform, go to Home and click Add the order button.
- The theme editor opens your product template with the COD order button block added. Drag it where you want it, for example under the price or the Buy buttons.
- Click Save.
Button text and colour
Set the default text and colour in Settings › Order button. To use a different text or colour on one template, select the block in the theme editor and fill in Button text or Button colour. Leave them empty to use the app's Settings.
Check it
Open a product page on your store, click the button, and place a test order. It appears in your Shopify orders and on the app's Orders page.
If the button doesn't show
- Make sure the app embed is on and the theme is saved.
- App blocks need an Online Store 2.0 theme (such as Dawn). If you use an older theme, write to us at support@codform.io.
- If you edited a different theme than your live one, publish it or repeat the steps on the live theme.
